The Researcher stated that yes we do have many anti- depressants but none of them work as efficiently as the doctor or patient would like. Most prescribed anti-depressants take 4-6 weeks to function properly in your system as they are being metabolized. Majority of said patients are also relapsing. Another question is why ketamine? Scientist wanted to change the abnormalities that increased depression found in the cortex and limbic system. They then found that glutamine contributed to depression.
