The Executive Order 11246 was effected in 1984 with an aim of helping increase minority participation within work place, in addition to empowerment of women. it also was initiated to help eradicate workplace discrimination.
After the order came to effect till now, there has been tremendous involvement minorities in the workplace. additionally, there has been an increased empowerment of the women and their involvement within the work place. furthermore there has bee substantial strides towards reduction of discrimination within workplace.
However, we are not there yet. There is still discrimination within organizations whereas as participation of minorities and empowerment of the women has not fully been realized.
As such, there should be no elimination of the Executive Order 11246 but instead more stringent measures and procedures of the implimentation should be sort in order to ensure that the order is in full effect to curb the ever growing concern.
