Off shoring and outsourcing is good and bad for customers, employees, and organizations depending on the scenario. I will use the IT industry as an example since that is the most common industry those happen in.
Per say, an organization needs to outsource a few of their IT positions to save costs. Unfortunately, employees in IT at that company lost their jobs. But, someone else (who will do the same job for a lower hourly rate) found a new job. Also, it benefits the organization because they are saving money. Also, it benefits the company's customers because now the company will be more efficient in serving their needs.
For offshoring, I will use sales as an example. In sales, offshoring could increase business development and help expand a company's business. But, they could lose a lot of customers due to them wanting a product made from a specific country (ex. Some customers will only buy American made parts because they believe it's the most reliable). It would be a huge impact on employees. They would have to adjust to the social and cultural differences every time they relocate for new business development. If an employee offends a big customer due to a cultural difference, the company can lose a TON of sales and the employee could get terminated.
