At the very heart of interpersonal dealings in today's work organizations is a constant struggle between individual and collective interests. Employees may engage in impression management, even may intentionally strive to make a bad or unfavorable impression. Among some recommended ways to manage employees trying to make a bad impression is a supportive leadership. Based on reading materials in Kreitner and Kinicky (chapt.15 and 16), please explain and elaborate the followings:

1. What is impression management and bad impression management?

2. Why employees may try to make bad impression management tactics. Give examples (at least 4) of bad impression tactics.

3. Supposed to manage such case, you are assigned by your supervisor to recommend and to rank with respective supporting arguments for 3 leadership theories, House's path-goal theory, transactional and transformational leadership, please respond with arguments.
