Directions: You are to research at least 3-4 recognizable named companies that issue a formal code of ethics, i.e. Ben & Jerry’s, Hospital of Special Surgery, Stonyfield Organic Yogurt, etc. You may also examine the code of ethics, which guides the employees of the company for which you work.
Review the company’s code of ethics carefully. You are to identify the key criteria in which the company management believes are vital to its employees are how they should behave while working for the company. I.e.: confidentiality, professionalism, and conflict of interest.
You are to report on what managers believe are the most important areas of concern the company needs to address when preparing a formal code of ethics.
