AIMS
One of the most important aspects of making food production sustainable is access to precise and accurate measurements on which decisions can be made. As shown in this unit, much of this information is freely available through Google Earth Engine. In the tutorials I have emphasised that it is unnecessary to write your own computer programs to access precision agricultural information. One can, instead, adapt code that has been published by others. In this assignment, you will go through the steps of adapting a recently published article produced by a group of Chinese researchers to agriculture in NSW. The full article is available as an attachment to the assignment.

You will see in the code that the publication uses all of the aspects of image analysis that we have met in the tutorials including
- Filtering clouds
- Selecting of images from collections
- Reducing collections to those with useful information based on area or date
- Classifying the information within collections based on vegetation type
- Displaying the results of the calculations in an onterpretable form
