Imagine that you are a long-serving board member of an arts organization that serves youth in your community and you are the chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee. You have put together a board that is one of the most impressive in your city in terms of fundraisingprowess and power, with each board member providing more than $5,000 in support annuallyand also committing to bringing at least 10 high net worth individuals to your major fundraising event annually. Your board's efforts currently account for about 35% of your revenue. This isespecially important to your largest funder, who wants to see that all of your board members aregiving at a very high level. You also have a program advisory council comprised of artists, who help direct the programmatic operations of the organization.
