PURPOSE

The purpose of this assignment is to enhance learners' understanding of the importance of conducting competitor analysis for a company in the context of strategic marketing.

REQUIREMENT

Select a company or a manufacturer of a particular product or brand that you are familiar with. Write a report explaining the reasons why companies need to conduct competitor analysis. Identify TWO of the competitors of the selected company using the competitor-based approach and customer-based approach. Then conduct a competitor analysis in terms of the strengths and weaknesses of the competitors in relation to your selected company. Illustrate with examples.
