The ED has several long-standing problems: (I) Overcrowding, (ii) extended length of stay, (iii) prolonged waiting time, (iv) excessive patient flow time, (v) patients who leave without being treated. As head of Quality Assurance and improvement of your hospital, you have been allocated to prepare a literature review in order to propose a suitable methodological approach.
