Assignment:

Our prompt this week was to discuss two questions:

1) How does a fuller view of the implications of the gospel affect how you live out your life?

2) How can you more effectively communicate the gospel as something that is not just about a point in time (i.e. a prayer for salvation), but also a life that is lived that reflects the gospel?

I am to respond in a positive manner and informational manner to this discussion and I am not sure how. Can you advise?

This concept is new to me. As I have stated before my journey with God is a young one and I am still learning so much. The idea that those around me are the image of God and that we are all connected to him but that there are still those that do not believe or have not accepted him is crazy to me. In the overall scheme of things I believe it is our purpose to provide those who are lost or have never found God to him. One way we can do that is by understanding the struggles there are going through. We all know that the Bible is an amazing resource and covers the vast amount life obstacles that we will encounter, knowing our fellow man will allow us to guide them to the right passage that will ultimately light their path to God or back to him.

We can communicate this more effectively by having a solid understanding of the teachings and how to present them to our community. We may not have all the answers but they do reside in God and in his teachings, we simply need to look for them. This comes with reflection and study, and we can offer this to others, with simple gestures or quotes from the Bibles that help to illuminate their way. I find the most influential people in my life are those who are able to provide me a passage or a view that is reflective of what God would do that really help me to settle my mind and solve those problems I am presented with.
