For the longest time it seems, when examining work, we were concerned that routine, repetitive tasks were destined to have technological solutions replace direct human effort. But those tasks that required "higher level skills" were considered to be more protected from the technological onslaught. The conventional wisdom was that those people with those skills, with higher educational levels were in that protected group. Now with advances in areas like artificial intelligence and machine learning, some of those jobs are now vulnerable as well.
