1. (Chapter 1) Your role as an HR partner is key to the success of this organization. How are you prepared to handle these efforts and the ensuing opportunities, challenges and responsibilities for partnership? What do you see as the value that HR brings? What role do you or can you play as an HR person?

2. (Chapter 2) Since one of the areas of renewed focus will be on strategies, explain how you see HR connects with the business, and how you would recommend developing and implementing strategic HRM plans along with addressing the ever-changing work environment.

3. (Chapter 3) Explain how you would incorporate the issues of diversity, inclusion, multiculturalism, and other areas of differences among employees, in order to emphasize the important role of HR in managing around the differences in order to get results from people. What training or policies or input can you offer as an HR consultant to further the understanding of the diversity aspect of doing business. What information would you share with management concerning the laws to consider?

4. (Chapter 4) Describe what information you would share with management concerning the laws to consider and the process to take when recruiting people to the organization. Explain the tools or sources that can be used to assist in recruitment.

5. (Chapter 5) Provide information on the steps in the selection process. Provide information on interviewing and include the types of interview, interview questions, and the potential mistakes that can be made with interviewing candidates.

6. (Chapter 6) After hiring people, what would you recommend as a compensation plan? Include the types of benefits you would offer - mandatory and voluntary benefits. Why are these important to recruitment and retention of employees?

7. (Chapter 7) Explain why people leave organizations. Discuss ways that you would recommend the organization deal with job dissatisfaction and job withdrawal. Are there retention strategies that would work to make the organization positive and to assist with retaining employees?

8. (Chapter 8) What recommendations would you offer to improve the training efforts at the organization? Explain some of the types of training and the types of delivery for this training that you believe would make a positive work environment.

9. (Chapter 10) Describe the approach you would take to handling employee performance, and explain the types of performance issues that take place and some of the reasons for poor performance in the workplace. What type of performance system will you recommend to ensure employees understand and meet work expectations?

10. (Your Insight) Take a moment to consider what you have learned in this class. Provide your insight concerning the field of Human Resources and describe the impact these insights will have on your work life moving forward.
