According to Blackhaus et. al (2002) and Turker (2009), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) can best be understood as actions like striving toward sustainable development, protecting and improving the quality of natural environment, contributing to NGOs working in the problematic areas and projects aimed at well-being of the society. Similar concepts can be found in organizations today, where the Human Resource department focus on implementing programs and policies for the welfare of employees such as fair treatment, support and avenues for career growth and advancement, as well as care and well-being of employees.
a) Discuss CSR practices that are already in Malaysian organizations. Support your answer using ONE (1) specific organization in Malaysia and provide TWO (2) examples of their CSR practices.
