Therefore, in the case of team Hermes, we recommend the team to work on improving their improvisation skills as it can help save their lives at some point like it saved the life of Mark Watney. In order to improve their improvisation skills, we recommend the team to maintain the good level they have of team expertise location awareness by creating an electronic directory of each team member's expertise and update it regularly. In addition, it is recommended that the senior leadership give an environment that supports shared leadership within the team. As both team expertise location awareness and shared leadership play an important role in a dynamic and effective integration of team knowledge resources that lead to a successful team improvisation (Ye & Chen, 2021). In addition, we recommend implementing an improvisation training program for both Hermes and Nasa team and encouraging the commitment from top management and supervisors to this training in order to get the desired results from it (Vera & Crossan, 2005).
