It can be noted that quality improvement projects are implemented with an aim to make healthcare systems safer. My project change is to provide acute care services to the elderly people at their homes in conjunction with acute care hospital. This project change is likely to have a significant impact on the image and reputation of the acute care hospital as it aims to bridge the gap between the elderly people at their homes and the hospitals (Capp et al., 2017). One way in which this project will make ensure healthcare systems are safer is by providing acute medical services to the elderly people who are faced with emergent healthcare needs and need quick medical attention. This project will also enhance safety through provision of minor surgeries to the patients who encounter accidents such as falling and dislocation of harms. This implies that the elderly people at their homes can feel safer in case of any medical emergency. This because the patients can reach out to the home based agency more easily and receive medical services at the comfort of their homes.
