Workplace Project Assessment
Project Overview
This workplace project assessment requires you to develop and implement a marketing action plan for marketing activities and present the results of the implementation.
This assessment is divided into six tasks:
• Task 1: Marketing Action Plan
• Task 2: Seek Approval for Marketing Action Plan
• Task 3: Assign Marketing Activity Responsibilities
• Task 4: Implement Marketing Activities
• Task 5: Monitor Implementation of Marketing Activities
• Task 6: Present Results of Implementation of Marketing Activities
This project requires you to complete the assessment tasks in a workplace or simulated environment where the conditions are typical of those in a working environment in this industry.
Each task comes with a set of instructions. You are to follow and perform these instructions while being observed by the assessor and/or submit any required documentation as evidence of task completion.
Before starting this assessment, your assessor will discuss with you these tasks, including instructions, resources, and guidance for satisfactorily completing them.
You are required to:
• Complete the tasks within the time allowed, as scheduled in-class roll.
• Develop a marketing action plan for marketing activities
• Seek approval for the marketing action plan from at least one relevant personnel
• Contribute to assigning responsibilities to relevant marketing personnel
• Implement the approved marketing action plan
• Monitor the implementation of the marketing activities
• Review the results of the implementation
• Present the results to at least one relevant personnel
Task 1: Marketing Action Plan
This task will require you to develop a marketing action plan to market the products or services of your workplace/organisation.
Use the Marketing Action Plan template provided at the Bounce Fitness site. To complete this task, you must:
• Access and review the following:

ASSESSMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Your assessor will observe you as you seek approval for the marketing action plan you developed in Workplace Project Task 1 from at least two relevant personnel.
Relevant personnel refer to the individual who has the authority to approve the marketing action plan of the marketing activities. This can include your marketing manager and supervisor.
You will be assessed on your practical skills to:
• Discuss the following information outlined in the marketing action plan you developed in Workplace Project Task 1 with at two one relevant personnel. The following must be covered during discussion:
o At least two products/services
o At least one marketing activity for each product/service identified
o At least two goals
o At least one objective
o At least two marketing policies and procedures
o The resources required for each marketing activity
• Budget required for each activity
• Cost of resources
• At least two physical resources This must include:
» At least one digital system
» At least one tool
• At least two roles for each marketing activity This must include:
» At least one responsibility for each role identified
» At least one function for responsibility identified
o At least two procedures to access these resources
o At least two action items for each marketing activity
o Timeframe for each action item
o At least three expected outcomes for each action item This must include:
• Costs incurred
• Timeframes to be met
• At least one other expected outcome
o At least two success indicators or key performance indicators (KPI) These must be based on the goals and objectives of the marketing activities.

Your assessor will observe you as you assign the marketing responsibilities from the marketing action plan approved in Workplace Project Task 2 to at least two relevant marketing personnel.
Relevant marketing personnel must be the same marketing personnel identified in Workplace Project Task 1.
You will be assessed on your practical skills to:
• Discuss with at least two relevant marketing personnel the details of the marketing activities covered in the marketing action plan approved in Workplace Project Task 2.
This must include:
o At least two marketing activities to be implemented
o Your role and responsibilities during the implementation
This must correspond to the scope of your roles and responsibilities reviewed in Workplace Project Task 1.
o Roles of the relevant marketing personnel in the implementation This must include:
• Their responsibilities
• Their functions
o Resources relevant marketing personnel need to access
These must correspond to the resources outlined in the marketing action plan from Workplace Project Task 2.
o How to access these resources.
o Timeframes of the implementation
o Action items to be completed
o Expected outcomes of the implementation
o Success indicators or KPIs
• Assign the identified roles and their respective responsibilities and functions to the relevant marketing personnel
These must be the roles and responsibilities for the relevant marketing personnel identified in the marketing action plan from Workplace Project Task 2.
Each marketing personnel must have at least one role for each marketing activity assigned to them.
Each role must include:
o At least one responsibility corresponding to the role identified
o At least one function corresponding to the responsibilities identified
• Participate in the discussion using suitable language and non-verbal actions. Before starting this task, you must:
• Review the approved marketing action plan from Workplace Project Task 2 for the information required for this task.
• Review Workplace Project Task 3 - Observation Form.
This form outlines all the practical skills you need to demonstrate to satisfactorily complete this task. Your assessor will also discuss with you the practical skills outlined in this form prior to the assessment.
Task 4: Implement Marketing Activities
This task will require you to implement at least two marketing activities from the marketing action plan discussed in Workplace Project Task 3.
To complete this task, you must:
• Access and review organisational documents with information on the scope of own responsibilities relevant to implementing the marketing activities, such as:
o Employee contract
o Organisational chart
• Review the marketing action plan discussed in Workplace Project Task 3 to identify the portions of the marketing action plan that can be implemented based on the scope of own responsibilities.
• Implement the portions of the marketing action plan that are within the scope of your responsibilities.
This must include:
o At least two marketing activities identified in the marketing action plan
o Timeframe for each action item
o At least two action items of the marketing activities
• Access at least two relevant resources required for the implementation.
These must correspond to the resources identified in the marketing action plan discussed in Workplace Project Task 3.
• Assist at least one relevant personnel in the managing the implementation of the marketing activities.
Relevant personnel must be one of the relevant marketing personnel from Workplace Project Task 3 to whom you assigned the responsibilities and functions to.
This must include providing assistance in:
o Identifying the functions of at least one digital system appropriate to be used during implementation
o Identifying features of at least one digital system appropriate to be used during implementation
o Identifying the functions of at least one digital tool appropriate to be used during implementation
o Identifying features of at least one digital tool appropriate to be used during implementation
o Operating at least one digital system
o Operating at least one digital tool
• Update the marketing action plan by completing the ‘Actual Implementation Date' section.
Leave ‘Results of comparison of expected and actual outcomes', ‘Results of comparison of actual outcomes and success indicators,' and ‘Review dates' sections blank. These will be completed after the monitoring of the of the marketing action plan in Workplace Project Task 5.
Your assessor will discuss these resources with you, and the criteria outlined in this form prior to this assessment.
Use the Marketing Action Plan template provided at the Bounce Fitness site. Submit the updated marketing action plan to your assessor.
You must also submit evidence of implementation of the marketing activities identified in the marketing action plan. This can include:
• Implementation report
• Video recording of you completing action items
Task 5: Monitor Implementation of Marketing Activities
Part A of Monitoring
To complete this task, you must:
• Access and review the marketing activity plan previously reviewed in Workplace Project Task 1 for information on the expected outcomes of the marketing activities being implemented
• Review the marketing action plan implemented in Workplace Project Task 4 for the contingency plan relevant to problems that can occur during implementation of the marketing activities
• Monitor the implementation of the marketing activities identified in the marketing action plan
This must include identifying:
o Progress of the outcomes of the implementation.
This must correspond with the expected outcomes outlined in the marketing action plan from Workplace Project Task 4.
o At least one predictable problem that occur during the implementation This must be the same predictable problem outlined in the marketing action plan from Workplace Project Task 4 and in the marketing activity plan reviewed in Workplace Project Task 1.
o At least one less predictable problem that occur during the implementation
This must be the same less predictable problem outlined in the marketing action plan from Workplace Project Task 4.
• Implement the contingency strategies outlined in the marketing action plan to address the problems identified.
This must be the contingency strategies outlined in the marketing action plan from
Workplace Project Task 4. This must correspond with the:
o Predictable problem that occurred during monitoring
o Less predictable problem that occurred during monitoring.
Part B of Monitoring
To complete this task, you must:
• Access and review the marketing plan previously reviewed in Workplace Project Task 1 for information on the expected outcomes of the marketing activities being implemented.
• Review the following:
o Marketing action plan from Workplace Project Task 4 for the actual outcomes of the implementation
o Actual results of the implementation of the contingency strategies in Part A.
• Identify the actual outcomes of the implementation of the marketing activities This must include:
o Cost incurred
o Timeframes met or not met
o At least one other outcome, such as:
• Profits earned
• Increase or decrease in sales volume
• Analyse the actual outcomes of the implementation and:
o Compare it with the expected outcomes identified in the marketing plan reviewed in Workplace Project Task 1.
This must include comparison between:
• Costs incurred and expected budget
• Actual timeframe and expected timeframe
• Other comparison, e.g. actual profit earned and projected profit
o Compare it the success indicators or KPIs outlined in the marketing action plan from Workplace Project Task 4.
• Complete the marketing action plan by filling in the following sections:
o Actual outcomes of the implementation
This must correspond with the details outlined in the expected outcomes section in the marketing action plan.
o Actual outcomes of the implementation of the contingency strategies
o Result of comparison of expected and actual outcomes
This must correspond to the overall comparison of the expected and actual outcomes of the implementation.
o Result of the comparison of actual outcomes and the success indicators or KPIs
o Review dates
This refers to the dates the monitoring was conducted.
There must be two separate review dates in the marketing action plan.
Your assessor will discuss these resources with you, and the criteria outlined in this form prior to this assessment.
Task 6: Present Results of Implementation of Marketing Activities
Use the Marketing Activity Report template provided at the Bounce Fitness site. Before starting this task, you must review the completed marketing action plan from
Workplace Project Task 5 for the results of monitoring the implementation of the marketing activities.
To complete this task, you must:
• Collect all the results of the implementation into a marketing activity report This must include:
o Actual outcomes of the implementation of the marketing activities
o Actual outcomes of the implementation of the contingency strategies
o Result of comparison of expected and actual outcomes
o Result of the comparison of actual outcomes and the success indicators or KPIs
The outcomes and results must correspond to those identified in the completed marketing action plan from Workplace Project Task 5.
o At least three processes involved in implementing the marketing activities These processes must correspond to the actual processes you participated in during implementation.
This can include:
• Planning the implementation
• Accessing resources
• Providing assistance
• Present the report to at least two relevant personnel.
This must be the same relevant personnel to whom you sought approval from for your marketing action plan in Workplace Project Task 2.
Your assessor will discuss these resources with you, and the criteria outlined in this form prior to this assessment.

• Evidence of presentation showing you presenting the results of the implementation of the marketing activities to at least one relevant personnel.
