Assessment: He has been taking acetaminophen at home to treat a fever and discomfort. The rapid strep screen is positive. Recommendation: Vital signs need to be done. The provider has written orders in the chart for Kenneth to receive penicillin intramuscular for the diagnosis of strep throat since the patient is not confident, he would reliably take medicine during his extended trip.
