Assessment Description

The next step in developing your data product will be to begin building the first iteration of your product.

Start with developing an implementation plan in which you will describe the modules and their functions. The implementation plan provides an outline of activities necessary to ensure that the system is available for use by its end users as originally planned. Keep in mind that the data product is narrow in scope and focuses only on the tasks outlined in your original descriptions and requirements. Within the 500-750-word plan, make sure to:

1. Identify software that may need to be integrated with the libraries, databases, and other programs.

2. Describe how the software will be deployed as an operational system.

3. Describe the strategies, potential impacts, and activities that will be addressed in the implementation.

4. Outline any stakeholders.

5. Explain how you will mitigate security concerns, including data security, privacy, authorized access, and actions, if security is compromised.

6. Explain how you will implement data management and data governance strategies.

7. Explain how you will manage risk assessment and quality control.

Once the plan is complete, start implementing the product. Implementing the project is the act of actually making the software available for use. Note: You will incorporate feedback from your classmates and the instructor in the process of development.

While each product is unique and addresses the specific objectives outlined in previous course assignments, the product must implement functionality to:

1. Read data from a file

2. Read data from a URL

3. Perform data exploration

4. Visualize data

5. Choose from a list of data cleaning and preprocessing methods

Submit the project in its current form even if incomplete.
APA style is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
