A Warehouse assistant who had suffered torn muscles in their lower back, severe muscle strain in their neck and shoulders and a broken toe, caused when they attempted to lift a heavy object from the floor then dropped it on their foot.

 A computer operator who was suffering chronic back and neck pain and severe pain in both hands, caused by working at their workstation make a Return to Workplan based on the chosen scenario. Your Return to Workplan must include details on:

• How will you design, implement and evaluate the return-to-work program for the staff member.
• Information on the prognosis and modified duties after the number of weeks rest.
• Information on full recovery duties so the employee is able to resume their normal duties after six months.
• Managing the compensation claim-explain how you would process and manage the worker's claim for workers' compensation, demonstrating how your plans comply with workers' compensation legislation and insurance requirements
• Detail all consultations required and the reasons why those consultations are important with the staff member and with the management team as well as other stakeholders.
• Explain any modifications which would be required to the workplace or work processes and any retraining which the worker might need.
• Monitor and evaluate the return-to-work program-show how you would monitor and evaluate the success of the program in relation to its objectives, and identify procedures for recommending changes which would improve safety and return-to-work programs.
