TASK
You will have 10 mins each to present & discuss no more than 7 powerpoint slides as a guide (1 as a title slide with your name ID etc, 5 for the presentation and 1 for the references) to your examiner via webinar on the following which succinctly addresses LO1 & 2 :-
The task is a presentation on implementation of a nursing procedure of your choice according to best evidence-based practice and should include a critical analysis of what communication and relationshipmanagement skills might be applied should a nurse encounter a unpredictable & complex situation with the nursing procedure.

The presentation should be on powerpoint.
You are NOT tested on your ‘Presentation' skills, but on the content of your delivery; ensure the content addresses LO 1 & 2.
You may choose any nursing procedure from practice.
As you only have 7 slides choose a simple short nursing procedure.
What are the steps involved in carrying out the nursing procedure ie the Implementation.
Does everyone carry out the nursing procedure according to the guidelines? What are the implications for trusts, nurses / patients etc if nursing procedure doesn't follow the evidence - based practice. Critically Discuss.
Appraise the best evidence available to support the nursing procedure.
What communication and relationship skills might be applied should a nurse encounter a unpredictable & complex situation with the nursing procedure. For example this could be allergic reaction to a drug, patient refusal to treatment/ nursing intervention, drug error, self - discharge against medical advice, you are called to an emergency during the nursing procedure etc Critically discuss.

Learning Outcome 3: Demonstrate initiative and personal responsibility in relation to personal wellbeing and lifelong learning.
For this assessment you are required to write a 1000 word reflective account based upon your SWOT analysis of your strengths and limitations with regards to your personal and professional development needs in the role of a professional registrant in contemporary healthcare.
You may focus on your role in a particular care setting or keep this to your role as a future registrant more generally.
The reflective commentary and action plan for your ongoing development and support must demonstrate achievement of Module Learning Outcome 3 and make clear links to NMC Code (2018).
You may use the following guide to format your self-development action plan:
Introduction (100 words): State the aims of the reflective commentary. Provide a rationale for your choice of a relevant reflective model which you will use to frame your reflective commentary. Include an outline of the relevance of SWOT analysis as a tool to identify personal and professional development needs in the role of a professional registrant.
The SWOT analysis must be included as an appendix.
Part 1: Reflective Commentary (600 words): Use the stages of the chosen reflective framework to structure the commentary and critical reflection. In your reflection apply critical understanding your role as a future registrant in practising in the context of professional, regulatory and legal frameworks within national health policy. In your reflection provide critical and analytical discussion on what resources, support and feedback you will require to ensure delivery of person-centred, safe and effective evidenced based care in a range of healthcare settings.
Part 2: Action Plan (200 words): Discuss your action plan using SMART goals to prioritise your development needs in transitioning to registrant to meet the requirements of The Code and to practice effectively within national health policies, regulatory and legal frameworks. Conclusion (100 words):
Summarise the main points in your reflective commentary and action plan for personal and professional development. Include recommendations for ongoing reflective practice and, personal and professional development.
