  • What are the impacts of some of these priority changes in adulthood?

Adulthood comes with several responsibilities, and this leads to an individual change of priorities., Ideally, when you mainly focus on having fun and maybe hanging out with friends, but when adulthood knocks, individuals strive for success and utmost life stability. Additionally, adulthood encourages people to display increased warmth, self-confidence, emotional stability, and self-control with age. With self-confidence, one will always look well groomed and ready to fight for any career, and this is because of the successful quest that illuminates after one hits adulthood. When an individual enters adulthood, they also start to show emotional stability in their individual or group action, which is because of the maturity one gets when this period kicks off. In relevance to this, emotional stability will also guide an individual during trial and tribulation times, primarily because in adulthood, many individuals will face rejection by family, friends, or even from job applications. With adulthood, individuals also get to have illuminated self-control, and with this, an individual will always stay conscious when approaching or doing specific tasks or even relating with individuals.

When a person reaches maturity, they start to acquire concerns about developing the ability to share intimacy, seek to form relationships, and seek intimate love. These concerns are a natural progression from when they were a child to adulthood changes. This results in long-term partnerships, often leading to marriage and even children's birth during this period. As a result of all of these observations, it is abundantly evident that adulthood is accompanied by many obligations, some of which include changes in one's mental, behavioral, and professional life that influence the entire trajectory of an individual's behaviors and even ideas.

  • What have your personal experiences been in transitioning developmentally (physically, emotionally, cognitively, or spiritually) from adolescence to early/middle adulthood?

Let me begin with what I can recall with my transition from adolescence to early/middle adulthood physically. Our bodies absolutely change, I don't believe I was anywhere near as active as I was when I was in school. Emotionally I believe I clung to the idea of love and intimacy, I was actually married quite young, at the age of 21. We had been together for 5 years at that point so I truly believed it was a good decision. My cognitive development I do not believe was my best transition if we are being honest. When I was younger and in school I was very sheltered and did not partake in any sort of risky fun behavior, so as I approached my independent adulthood era I began to make more rash decisions and tried to find risky fun that I believed I missed out on as an adolescent. My spirituality is probably what transitioned best for me in early to middle adulthood. By this time I had begun going to church regularly, had a strong faith based marriage, completed all of my sacraments in my church, and when I had my child I even baptized her and made a genuine effort to show her the importance of spirituality.
