A protein is 147 amino acids long. You discover two organism with mutations to the codon that codes for the 40th amino acid in the protein. The original codon was UAU. In the first mutant organism that codon is changed to GAU while in the second organism it is changed to UAA. Which of these mutations would have a bigger impact on the affected organism? Explain why.
