Impact of Web technologies on your career and on the world

The ebb and flow of new and old Web technologies dramatically impacts businesses and people alike. In the case of the former, new techniques and technologies can equate to new development and/or business opportunities and challenges, while end users benefit from more dynamic and engaging Web content. Throughout this Module, and in this week's Lecture Notes, you explored many of these relatively new tools and technologies, including AJAX, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3 and OWASP.

As you studied these five topics, you saw many of the capabilities of each, but with iterative updates and the application of new techniques, those capabilities are constantly changing. In this Discussion, your challenge is to further research at least two of the five noted topics and assess the practical uses of these two topics in regard to your future career. Additionally, reflect upon and evaluate the influence of your two topics on the Web's future.

Post: Create an initial post in which you evaluate the practical uses of AJAX, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3 or OWASP in your future career. You must evaluate at least two of these topics. Base your evaluation on an analysis of your selected two topics' ever-changing capabilities and potential and how that applies to your career. Additionally, evaluate the effect your two selected topics may have in influencing the future of the Web. Explain your reasoning and how you made your evaluation.
