Introduction: The introduction must prepare the reader to expect what your program looks like (describe briefly the program), why you are doing the assessment, who requested this assessment? Who are the assessors and expected stakeholders. What type of strategy, theory or type of P.A. Design you will follow?
Developing a program assessment plan : This stage should include the four stages ( Plan . Do, Check and Act)
Plan : Organize the assessment : identify key players and stakeholders. Define the mission, vision, values and aspirations. Define the goals of the program and intended students' learning outcomes. Decide the needed assessment methods and tools. You can also add your Ass. Targets. Do : Collect the Data: Now you will do that ? Who will do that? Where will the data be kept? Check : Analyse the results : summarize it in a meaningful way. Provide a timely feedback mechanism.
Act: Identify the changes that must be taken. How can they be implemented? Suggest a plan to monitor changes. Propose a way of reviewing these information and how they may impact your next assessment plan.
Analysing Data: After collecting the data using the right tools and measures, you need to display or present your results. Use graphs. charts. tables... The presentation of the analysed data should be clear. understood and eye-catching.
Using, reporting and communicating data: Interpret the results. Evaluate and match between the results obtained to intend LO. Suggest strategies to implement changes. How will you communicate your findings?
(Presentations. brochures, magazines. website, report...) Who are your targeted audiences?
Recommendations: Based on your results, what recommendations will be the best to be proposed? Develop some recommendations that are reasonable and can be adopted. These should have direct impact on improving the program and the students' learning.
Conclusion: This should present a brief of what has been done. You should provide your own opinion and impression Summarises the previous discussion. Makes a final judgement and opinion on the value of the whole process and what expected changes may take place. Comments on the future of the issue/topic or implications of the view expressed (looking ahead).
