Topic: Impact of Renewable energy in the region of Australia.
The Written Report 2 should start with short introduction of the topic (not more than two paragraphs) which will summaries your Literature Review (WR1) and re-iterate the main question/problem which you are trying to solve in this report
Introduction
This is an overview of your proposed study
• Explain the purpose of the study and the research problem or issue( Issue already define in WR 1) it will 1address, defining key terms where appropriate
• Describe the background to the study and explain why it is important and/or of interest and to whom
• State the aims and objectives of the proposed study
• Briefly describe the structure of the remainder of the proposal.
Research Proposal - Literature review
Your preliminary literature review should be an evaluation of the main studies and other items that are relevant to the research problem
• Cite the key authors and develop a conceptual framework or theoretical framework by referring to the concepts/ theories in the literature
• Conclude by explaining where your research fits into the gaps or deficiencies in the literature and state your main research question(s)
Research Proposal - Methodology
Explain your choice of methodology and methods for selecting a sample or cases, and for collecting and analyzing your research data - justify your choice by comparing the strengths and weaknesses with alternative methods
• Explain the scope/delimitationsof the research (eg the particular group of people, organizations, industry, geographical sector, period of time)
• Discuss any limitationsand how you will address ethical issues
• Demonstrate that the study is feasible (eg you will have access to data, skills, any funding necessary and sufficient time).
Research Proposal - Outcomes and timetable
At the proposal stage you cannot describe your findings, so this chapter will be brief, and focus on the expected contribution of your study
• One way to do this is to refer to the purpose of the research and what you intend to achieve
• Eg If the purpose is to investigate the impact of a new career-break scheme in Firm A, your expected outcome is a description of the new scheme and an analysis of the impact on the recruitment and retention of staff
• You need to provide a timetable that takes account of the constraint placed by the submission date
• Consider using a monthly Gantt chart showing the duration of each (overlapping) stage in the process of the research
Conclusion
In the CONCLUSION to your report, you do a number of important things: Summarize the main points you made in your introduction and review Essential Question: Writing Research: writing workshop REVISING of the literature Review (very briefly) the research methods and/or design you employed. Repeat (in abbreviated form) your findings.
Discuss the broader implications of those findings. Mention the limitations of your research (due to its scope or its weaknesses) Offer suggestions for future research related to yours Should explain what the results mean: àindicates whether the results were consistent or inconsistent with your expectations àexplains what possible sources of error there are indicates how the experiment could be improved in future.
Should be in Harvard referencing style
