For this discussion board, you will use what you have learned to support or discredit information on a popular parenting website. Before you begin you may want to go back to the module resources and consider what you learned about the impact of genetics and the environment on the development of the child.

Step one of this discussion is for you to go one of the popular parenting website listed below and locate some parenting advice. Consider how the parenting advice fits with the information you learned in the module. Does the parenting advice assume that the parent has control over how the child behaves? Does the parenting advice take into account the genetic influences on the child and the environmental?

The next step is to build your initial discussion post. In your first paragraph (5-8 sentences) introduce the parenting website information that you chose. Paraphrase the parenting advice given on the website. At the end of your paragraph, provide an in-text citation for the parenting webpage that you used.

The second paragraph (5-8 sentences) is where you support or discredit the information that you presented in paragraph one with information from the module resources (This is not simply your opinion. You must demonstrate knowledge of the module information). Explain why the information in paragraph one is supported or not supported by the research you read about in the module.
