Description:
This task is given as an individual reflective task, summarising experiences from teamwork in this unit. As you have worked in both leadership and team members roles in the previous tasks, you will be required to prepare and present your views on the impact of diversity on team performance.
You will also research and draw from diversity best practice and principles, and the Diversity Policy developed in Assessment Task 1. As part of reflection, you will also explain if, in your view, the current policy is adequate, and if any improvements required.
Your presentation will essentially cover;
1. Background and context (team project, workplace diversity assessment results)
2. Overview of the Diversity Policy
3. Examples of diversity best practice and the relevant legislations
4. Your views on the benefits of diversity
5. Reflection on project team experience
6. Your views on impact of diversity on team performance
7. Issues/barrier related to diversity
8. Your own learnings and future development needs
9. How organisations can implement diversity policies
10. How organisations should deal with harassment and complaints, including obligations of organisations under the relevant legislations
