For this piece of work you must write your own 'Situation Report' about the impact of a particular aspect of global change on a certain aspect of human health. Situation Reports are used by governments, researchers and the media to obtain information about a significant event or crisis. The report will contain text, graphs and tables, and perhaps images relevant to the messages you're trying to impact. An example of a situation report is provided to give you some idea about the kind of document this is.
You may choose your own combination of global change factor and human health impact. Examples are provided below.
Step 1. Choose a global change factor and human health impact pairing for your assignment. The below table contains examples you may choose from. However, if you would like to write about a topic not on these lists, please contact me for confirmation. You can combine ANY factors and impacts. For instance, you could choose Global Warming and Health related deaths, or Global Warming and Skin Cancer, or Conflict-driven migration and heat-related deaths. The combination is up to you. However, please bear in mind that some combinations will be harder than others to tackle.

Additional variations and topics: you may wish to be more specific about your topic, focussing on a particular group of humans (culture, country, sub-population). You also may wish to examine a very specific global change factor (e.g. decline of pollinators instead of biodiversity decline overall).
Step 2. Use the template provided to write your report. Download this and examine what sections you need to complete. This contains a guide to format and approximate word limits.
Step 3. Research. Consider what sources of information you will need.
Step 4. Write, tabulate, create. During this phase you will have to convert the information you find into words and graphs. Depending on how far along with your degree you are, this may be easy or hard. Please get in touch with course teaching staff if you require individual guidance or feedback.
Step 5. Submit
