1. "The immune system of an immunocompromised lacks the ability to fight infections from organisms that are normally kept at bay by a competent immune system." What does that mean? Would you say more about this? Let's look closer at this. We know that immunocompromised patients cannot defend against any type of infections. What is happening at the cellular level in a patient who is "immunocompromised"? Is it due to lower numbers of immune cells like T and B cells? Is it due to having same number of cells that just don't perform their functions? Is it because all immune cells have been killed? Explain.

2. What are some other sterilization method(s) that use moist heat? What are the main differences between those method(s) and autoclaving? Are they as effective as autoclaving? Why or why not? Explain. please answer with reference. thanks.
