Peter has been selected to be one of the jury members to handle a murder case in the High Court. In this case, the defendant Mr. John Lam has been charged for murdering his wife Susan Chan by burning charcoal to cause her death. Susan Chan has been suffered for the lung cancer since 2018. Recently, Doctor has given medical diagnosis of late-stage lung cancer for Susan that she only has time for less than 3 months. Susan applied to stay at home instead of staying in hospital. John has married with Susan for more than 20 years, this couple does not have any kids. John quitted his job and took care of Susan for this past 4 years. John found that Susan's health getting poor and poor, and up to the stage that she always felt pain despite taking double doze of pain-killing drugs. After learning from the doctor that Susan would have only few days to live when Susan was the last time sent to hospital. Susan could not speak and talk to any one, what she can do was to nod her head. John brought Susan back to home. For the sake of NOT letting Susan suffer any more, John offered to Susan that he could help Susan end her pain forever. Susan showed her consent to John. Few hours later, John burned the charcoal to end Susan's life after his last kiss to Susan. After two hours later, John reported to Police and admitted his murdering his wife.
