Imagine that you are selected as a screenwriter and star for a new Back to the Future film. You will be going back to the time of the American Revolution, and to the era of Industrialism, Realism, and Nationalism. You will write a short narrative of your adventures. This can be written as essay, a play, or short story. However, if you select a creating writing approach, be sure that you still meet the requirements to use and cite a source, and to fulfill the assignment elements in Part I and Part II.
PART I: First, put yourself into the time of the American Revolution. What role would you play in the events-for example a leader, a rebel, a supporter, an artist? You get to decide. How will you respond to the American Revolution efforts? You must highlight one event in the American Revolution and explain the reasons for your response to them. Be specific about the event, introduce it using the text, and then discuss your expectations for how you might react to this event. Give detail to set the scene, reflect what you have learned about the American Revolution, and reflect in some of the differences between our time and the Revolutionary era.
PART II: Finally. move into the time of Industrialization. Which role would you hold in this time period? Perhaps you would be a realist author, a photographer, or an industrialist. You must highlight one event in this era and explain the reasons for your response to them. Be specific about the event, introduce it using the text, and then discuss your expectations for how you might react. Give detail to set the scene, reflect what you have learned about this period of time and the era of early industrialization.
You are required to use and cite the textbook as a source. You may want to use and cite other research as well.
The assignment should be at least 500 words. Follow the formatting guidelines put forth the in the APA style of writing, and structure your thoughts in essay format - introductory paragraph and thesis statement, supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion.
