Illustrate the importance of ethical behavior and corporate social responsibility

1. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has put many companies in the spotlight, for both good and bad reasons. Some would argue that a business's only responsibility is to "increase shareholder wealth" or that the "business of business is business." List three advantages and disadvantages of a company devoting valuable resources to CSR, being as specific as possible in your response and giving examples, where possible.

2. You own a tax-preparation company with ten employees who prepare tax returns. While walking around the office, you notice that several of your employees spend a lot of time making personal use of their computers, checking personal e-mails, or shopping online. You decide that you need to start monitoring what your employees are doing not only with their time but while using your computer network.
