If all of the atoms in a penny were to form a very thin coating onanother object, a monolayer that is one atom thick with all atomstouching their neighbor atom , estimate the area(in squaremeters) that these atoms would cover.

When you figure out this area , find something that is about the same are for comparison. how many pennies would it take to coat a football field with a single layer of metal atoms, all touching but not overlapping? please make diagrams to show what your mono layer looks like, and discuss any assumption you make.
