Question: Syme's absurd adventure relates with Beaucard's philosophy in the sense that Syme had to impersonate an anarchist, and identify with this radical group of people who don't share the same morals as he does. He submits himself under these false morals in order to work towards a goal of ruining the anarchists' plans. He even goes as far as lying, which is one of his strong ideals. This is something that we as people do from time to time, abandon our own beliefs for the benefit of the greater good. When we abandon our beliefs for communal gain, we give up some of our identity as a person and give it to the common good, or society. We see this apparent in Beaucard's philosophy where he mentions that conforming to societal views sacrificies individual identities.
