To prepare for this Application, read Chatper 3, "Identifying User Stories and Use Cases: Developing a Use Case Diagram" on page 87. You may complete this assignment with the Violet UML editor presented in Chapter 3 or any other appropriate UML design tool.

For this Application, perform the following tasks:

  1. Read "The Spring Breaks 'R' Us Travel Service" case study on p. 91, Chapter 3, of your textbook. For each event described in the case study information provided, use the event decomposition technique to:
    • Name the event,
    • State the type of event
    • Name the resulting use cases.
  2. Consider yourself a potential customer looking for a spring break travel service. Using the user goal technique, list the use cases you would like to see based on your specific goals.
  3. Draw a use case diagram of all the use cases identified in both Task 1 and 2. See figure 3-12, p. 84 of the text for the appropriate format and notation.
  4. Submit the following items:
    • The table of use cases identified in Task 1. Include the event, type of event, and the use case name.
    • The list of use cases identified in Task 2.
    • The Use Case diagram you created
