One of the most challenging decisions a Human Resources manager could make would be recommending that employees belonging to a bargaining unit be "locked out." This is what FCL decided to do recently with its unionized employees who are represented by Unifor.

You are tasked with researching the lockout by identifying the issues and providing a time line of events. You will identify the stakeholders in the dispute, including the employer, the employees, and others who were impacted by the decision. Finally, with the benefit of hindsight, you are asked to weigh in on the decision. Was the decision to lock out the bargaining unit a good decision for FCL or will the lockout decision continue to haunt FCL for years to come?
