Topic: Chipotle Mexican Grill Restaurant
This is my project: In order to save time, money, and manpower, the Chipotle restaurant business must adopt the most advanced and latest softwares, mechanisms, and technologies. This will increase productivity, efficiency, and profitability in a systematic and professional manner.
My assumptions:
Sales will increase 3% , lost sales of new technological app will be $10 million. Tax rate for the corporation will remain unchanged for the following 8 years. Variable cost of new app will be 50% as a percentage of sales. Furthermore, additional fixed cost associated with new app will decrease beginning 2nd year. Employee training cost will be $62 million.
Below is the instructor's comment:
every huge figure you provide must be explained in your assumption page...for example, how do you arrive at $62 million in training? How many people, how many stores, how many training hours; why do you have continued acquisition costs after you install this in the beginning? Lost sales from new technology? Is this the cannibalization? Whats your % cannibalization assumption?
