These are my answers to questions. I need a brief summary of the following answers/information for my science notebook

1. Henrietta Lacks was an African-American woman diagnosed with cervical cancer in 1951. A tumor biopsy was taken without her consent, and her cells were used in scientific research without her knowledge. These cells, known as HeLa cells, became the first immortal human cell line and have been used in countless medical breakthroughs.

2. Hela cells are unique because they are immortal. This means they can divide indefinitely and do not die like regular cells. Hela cells have been used to study cancer, AIDS, and other diseases.

3. Some of the discoveries made using Hela cells include the development of the polio vaccine, discovering the human papillomavirus, identifying genes associated with cancer, and genome mapping.

4. Voluntariness refers to a participant's readiness to participate in a study. To respect participants' autonomy and make sure they are not forced to participate in a study, it is crucial to ensure ethical data collecting.

5. Informed consent refers to the comprehension of the nature of a study and the possible dangers and advantages of participating in it. As it guarantees that participants are educated about whether to participate in a study, informed consent is crucial for ensuring ethical data gathering.

6. A set of moral guidelines for research involving human subjects is known as the Nuremberg Code. The principles were created in response to the immoral Nazi medical experiments carried out during World War II.

7. The use of technology may make it simpler to gather data without the knowledge or consent of the individuals concerned, which is a worry regarding ethical data collection in the age of technology. This raises questions regarding the possibility of data misuse and the violation of privacy rights.
