"I took the job at the cycle shop because, as an amateur competitive cycle racer, I think it's cool to be able to check out the newest equipment. My cycle club has about 20 members and we talk about where to get the best equipment at the best prices. I have tried to talk to my boss about the kind of equipment my cycling friends would be interested in buying from the store. He brushes me off and says he has been running the store for longer than I've been alive. Most days I don't think he knows I even exist. So I have quit talking to him unless I have to, and just punch the clock. Some people are so set in their ways that they are not willing to doanything but the same old -same old."
