Assignment:

A company developed a new water bottle that would allow consumers to drink plain water or twist the bottle cap to add no-calorie flavors to the water. With all the water bottles on the market, competition was tough, and they didn't sell many bottles despite marketing widely through social media and digital ads. They hired GPS Marketers to help them market their product, and the first thing GPS did was to identify why the bottle was different and better, especially for people who might not enjoy the taste of water. The company hadn't done this previously. Using the information gathered, GPS marketed the water bottle to targeted consumers and helped the company build a loyal customer base. Why did the company face difficulty in their first introduction of the new product?
