Case Study: Sam recently started dating Maya. Maya lives with her parents and older brother Ike. When Sam arrives at Maya's house, Ike answers the door. Ike is dressed in a black trench coat, cargo pants, a fedora with a red feather in it, and aviator sunglasses. Ike gives Sam a stern look and says, "who sent you"? Confused, Sam explains that he's Maya's boyfriend. Ike's demeanor instantly changes, and he introduces himself, "hello there good sir, the name's Ikey but that name I don't likey, my colleagues call me Nike because I wear them too"! Sam didn't know what to say, but Maya showed up and ended the awkward interaction before Sam had to think of something. Later in the evening while waiting for dinner to be prepared, Sam was sitting alone in the living room reading news articles. Ike entered and sat down next to Sam and began informing Sam that he has a garden of dandelions that he grows and uses to make tea. After declining Ike's offer to make him some  dandelion tea, Sam asked what Ike does for work. Ike explained how he was a "planetary redeemer"; Maya later told Sam he works at a recycling center. At dinner it came up that Maya and Ike's uncle and aunt were moving away. Ike was deeply upset at the news, dramatically rose from the table, took off the sunglasses he was still wearing and announced that he would be marching to their homestead and demanding notification via traditional mail of all further updates as it was only fair.
