You have focused on the inside of cells and the role of each of the parts within the cell. Interestingly, the structure and function of cells-the basis of life-is frequently replicated in human-made structures. For example, in a factory, everyone has a specific role. There are materials and people that add to, adjust, and test the materials along the way.

Think about a structure you are a part of in some way. This might be a school you or your child attends, an office, team, or any other group or structure that has specific assigned roles working with one another to function.

Share your chosen entity and identify which parts of the entity reflect the parts of the cell. Then, speculate as to why there are so many reflections of the structure of cells in our lives.
