Assignment - Need application sensory application for ASD.

Application Activity - Sensory Domains

1. Choose 5 different objects (1 for each sensory domain) that you could provide a learner with AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER (ASD) to aid them in managing sensory issues. Choose 1 for EACH Sensory Domain.

SENSORY DOMAINS: 1. VISUAL 2. TACTILE 3. AUDITORY, 4. ORAFACTORY 5. Gustatory

2. Describe what the item is and how it works and how the learner could use it.

3. Identify what Sensory Domain the item targets.

4. Identify what type of sensitivity the item targets.

5. Explain how and why it would aid the learner and when and how you would incorporate it into their day.

6. Describe how you will know when your learner is experiencing sensory issues; what is the ?learner doing and displaying?

For 1 - Make sure you choose 5 DIFFERENT items - 1 item for each sensory domain (do not provide any duplications even if the same item is used for different Sensory Domains)

For 2 - Give a CLEAR description of what the item is and how it operates. I should be able to understand what the item is and how a learner would use it by reading your description.

For 5 - Give a complete explanation as to how this would aid an individual with sensory issues. Ask yourself WHY this item is stimulating or IN WHAT WAY is this item stimulating.
