Paper Topic

Select one building, sculpture, painting, or other work of art found in Los Angeles that displays characteristics borrowed from any of the ancient cultures we have discussed in class.

First, identify what portions of the object you have chosen borrow from ancient cultures and which cultures they chose to model the object after.

Secondly, briefly discuss why you think the artist, sculptor, architect, etc. chose these cultures to mimic. Consider things such as location, function, audience, etc.

Your paper should be 3-5 pages, written in Times New Roman, 12 pt. font.

It should be double spaced and have 1 in. margins. Please also include an image of the object you chose, but this does not count towards the page count.
