Further, when positioning yourself for a promotion, it is important to document your successes and identify ways in which you will improve your managerial skill-set. Thus, this paper should be written to your boss in the form of a formal report/summary.
Imagine that your boss has asked you to read this book to help you become a better manager. S/he will probably be curious as to what you've learned or how this book has helped you. Select 1-2 different concepts or skills that you learned about from the section on "Developing a Leadership Mindset," and clearly articulate how this additional knowledge/awareness has changed your performance (i.e., increased your effectiveness) as a manager. In other words, you need to identify what has changed in your behavior based on what you've learned from the chapters within this section.
