Actuation Speech
Directions: You will be responsible for generating a 5-7 minute speech that persuades your audience to change not only their thoughts, but their behaviors. You will utilize a claim of policy; i.e. We need to recycle to save the planet. We need to donate blood. etc. You will have a minimum of four academic sources to support your claims, and two visual aides to enhance and clarify your speech. You will organize the speech using either Problem Solution pattern, Problem Cause Solution pattern, or Monroe's Motivated Sequence.

Main point 3: Step 4 Visualize: visualize a positive or negative future in order to intensify the listeners concern
Step 5 Action: The basis of your conclusion - how and what to do is discussed - This is generated in the conclusion (T.R., Summary of main points, Clincher)
