Consider the monomers or subunits that compose protein, carbohydrate, lipid, and nucleic acid? Are all of the subunits just repeating units or are their differences in the subunits?

Proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids carry out a vast number of functions in the cell. Identify two functions for each type of macromolecule. Try to choose one function you were already aware of and then research and share with your new function.

Explain which macromolecule do you think is most crucial to the cell and why?
