Assignment: Capstone Human Relations Project
Purpose:
You folks know A LOT of stuff at this point:
1. You know the key concepts of thinking (cascading effects, solutions thinking, dynamic capabilities, human relations in hospitality, etc.....)
2. Key course terminology.
3. You have learned about different strategies and methodologies to consider intelligence, diversity, and inclusion.
4. You have been able to process the data from Adrift: American In 100 Charts
5. You've read and viewed the additional course materials along with being engaged in the conversations.
6. Now, you are going to use all this valuable information to put together and develop a human relations-based strategic plan for your selected hospitality firm.
Instructions:
For your Capstone Human Relations Project, you will provide a human relations assessment and evaluation of your selected hospitality firm. Key indicators will include problem identification analysis exploring diversity and inclusion along with threading course themes, topics, and materials into your project.
Remember this is really about problem identification and solving in relationship to human relations.
For this project I want you to create a PowerPoint presentation using the following format:
Slide I: Your name and appropriate course data and information.
Slide II: Introduce your selected hospitality firm.
Slide III: Share a few additional details about your firm.
Slide IV: How does your firm currently plan for and execute diversity & inclusion programming.
Slide V: SWOT analysis of your selected firm.
Slide VI: Identify any trouble or weak spots with what your firm is currently doing.
Slide VII: Identify two challenges or problems based on your research you would like to focus on.
Slides VIII and IX: What solutions have you developed and designed to solve these problems.
Slide X: How will the local, regional, national, or international community be impacted by your planning.
Slide XI: How will you're planning and strategy impact human relations.
Slide XII: Connections to the course text.
Slide XIII: Closing thoughts.
