Assignment:
1.) In a secondary school what is the background of the problems when it comes to lack of tutoring in schools?
2.) What type of needs need to be addressed when tutoring is not taking place and how do you address those needs.
3.) What type of Goals should we put in places to make sure tutoring is a beneficial need? How does the community come together to support tutoring. What type of community support is tutoring?
Background of the Problem: Give a background of the problem that you will be identifying as the need addressed in the proposal. If your proposal will be targeting a particular population on your campus, such as students who are struggling in math, you need to provide information that will help the reader understand the history of the need on your campus. In effect, this section is your introduction to the problem or need. You are setting the reader up so that when, in the next section, you identify the need you will be addressing in the proposal, the reader will understand why it is important for you to address that need on your campus. Some of the information you collected in Week 1 may be helpful to you in this section.
Need to be Addressed: After reading this section, your reader should have a clear picture of what need is being addressed in the proposal.
Goals: You need to identify at least three measurable goals for the school-community project. You may bullet the goals, but they should be in complete sentences and there must be a lead-in to the goals. In other words, start with at least a couple of sentences telling the reader you are introducing the goals. Remember, the goals must be something that you can measure at the end of the project to determine if the project was successful. (Hint: You will be identifying how you will measure the goals later in the proposal.)
