Homework: Interview a Health Care Human Resource Professional

The purpose of this homework is to conduct an interview with a representative from human resources at a local health care organization to review the role and impact of the human resources department in that organization.

Refer to the resource, "Creating Effective PowerPoint Presentations," located in the Student Success Center, for additional guidance on completing this homework in the appropriate style. Aim to follow the 7x7 rule, limiting 7 bullet points per slide and 7 words per bullet. The explanation and elaboration for each slide should be included in the accompanying speaker notes.

In a 12 to 15 slides PowerPoint presentation, address how the following elements:

1. Identify the human resource functions (such as benefits, employee relations, and risk management) that the organization utilizes and describe how they contribute to support of the organizational structure.
